"It was there I prayed and invited Christ into my heart and experienced genuine forgiveness and emotional healing. The Lord granted me the inner peace I had so long desired."

Testimony

Before I accepted Christ as Savior my life was in turmoil. I was happily married with two kids, dog, cat, nice home, car & truck, and a good secure income. We had it all.

Between our oldest girl and youngest we had a beautiful baby boy, Adam. Our joy was crushed when Adam at 3 months old died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Questions began to entangle our lives. A wall of resentment rose between us and God. My husband Buz began to wander one way and I another. Alcohol started to control our lives along with illegal drug use. We only wanted the depression, resentment, and bitterness inside to stop.

Through much communication our marriage was barely salvaged after infidelity had surfaced. Buz was led to Christ during a dinner meeting with Leo, a Christian fellow worker at the plant. I listened but pride and stubbornness kept me from a decision. I did realize that I was lost.

We were invited to Leo’s church and at the invitation, I and my daughter Jennifer went forward for salvation. The pastor’s wife explained to us the need to accept Jesus Christ personally as Savior. It was there I prayed and invited Christ into my heart and experienced genuine forgiveness and emotional healing. The Lord granted me the inner peace I had so long desired.

Buz and I were able to put our past behind us and forgive one another. God has since used us in church ministries including my personal involvement in 1987 with Forgotten Man Ministry at the jail. I truly enjoy sharing about the amazing grace of God with the female inmates and am overjoyed when they respond as I did 26 years ago to His offer of real peace and freedom.
