Immediate Ministry Needs

GRO Pod Financial Support Needed

GRO Pod support is needed for Chaplain Leo Wynne, our GRO Pod chaplain and all the curriculum materials that are supplied each month.

The GRO Pod program consists of 8 weeks (168 hours) AM & PM classes (Mon-Fri) with periodic breaks for lockdown, headcount, meals, laundry, commissary, etc.

We have a waiting list of inmates wanting to get into the GRO Pod at present.  We hope to expand this program from 15 to 24 students per session.

The program has a designed curriculum that teaches biblical principles to live by and was launched in Genesee County in September 2012. The program began in the Kent County jail and has been expanded to other county jails throughout Michigan. Results from this program show that less than 1 out of 4 graduates return to jail or prison. Traditionally, 3 out of 4 will return to jail in 3 years.  The GRO Pod is making disciples and lowering our tax burden as we reduce repeat offenders.   It costs us $230 per student to graduation.  Would you consider sponsoring one GRO Pod student?  This is a WIN-WIN situation.

Lives are being changed, hope is being renewed and you can be a part of it all.  Thank You for your support.
